The importance of cervical vertebrae’s C-curve

The first )-shaped curve in the vertebrae is seen at birth, resembling the shape of a fetus

After the infant is born, in two to three months, the back and neck muscles mature, the secondary cervical bone forms a C-shaped curve, and the newborn can lift and creep his head.

A year after birth, it remains upright as the muscle around the waist develops and forms the third curve of the waist. Once the third curve is formed, the neck and waist bones are curved to the front, while the back and coccyx are curved backward, resulting in a S shape. It supports gravity and walks upright

The vertebral column consists of seven cervical bones, twelve thoracic bones, and five lumbar bones. The vertebrae are the major column of the human body, and the cervical bones, in particular, serve as the gateway through which the nervous system from the brain travels to all body parts. As a result, any problem with the cervical bones might lead to disorders throughout the body.
